Has anyone had any success (or failure!) with using the DAK/BSR 6800MX with any
other SCSI board? Is the cable supplied by DAK a "standard" SCSI cable?

I don't think its an SCSI drive, I think its a proprietary interface card (Mine
is, but it is a Sony)

After many painful trips down wrong roads, I got my 6800MX running under OS/2,
at least in audio mode. The BSR from DAK *is not* a SCSI device, as it has its
own interface card.
Running under DOS is not a problem as long as there's no IRQ conflict.

I have not had any problems with the DAK/BSR drive, yet. I am trying to
convert from two boards/devices (the other device is a SyDOS 88i which
_everybody_ agrees is SCSI) to one board (Corel SCSI LS 2000) and two devices.
The original SyDOS/Adaptec board has no external connector, while the board for
DAK/CD-ROM has no internal connector. Corel says they don't know if the SONY
drive inside the BSR box will run from their board, but it might . . . and they
say it can't hurt to try.
