#Which CDR program best?

I'm getting a Philips/Kodak CD Recordable unit and am wondering which program has the best price/performance. I've used OMI's QuickTOPiX but found that it crashed on relatively large datasets. I consider Gear to be a bit too pricey. The last time I asked this question here on the forum EASYCD was recommended. If anyone out there is using EASYCD could they please let me know what they think of it. Thanks

We have used both CD-GEN, from CD-ROM Strategies and CD-RECORD from Dataware Technologies, both products have worked well and we've made hundreds of discs using both. We're in the process of switching over to CD-RECORD for most of our production needs because it doesn't require 2 times the amount of hard disk space. Hope this helps. Verlan

Can CDRECORD drive the Philips/Kodak machine? How much does it cost? That's great that it doesn't require 2x disk space!! Do you or anyone else have any experience using Corel SCSI Pro to write to a CDROM cutter?

Phil My company Information Inception, which is UK based, acts as dealers for Philips CDD 521 and WinOnCD pre-mastering software. You might try Sony's Electronic Publishing Company. I know they have a good PC based package called Multimedia Formatter which they do seem to sell unbundled. -dle

Again, do you know how much this Sony mastering software costs? It seems unlikely that it would work with the Philips/Kodak CDR machines as they have a competitive unit.

Their software sells for $595 and $1495 or fairly close to those numbers. The $595 does PC compatible CD's and the higher prices package supports additional features. The software appears to be driven by different internal companies is why I suggested at least checking them out. -dle
