#Modem config script

A suggestion: Please make the modem configuration script optional, or
state in the README file how to quit this, as it wrote over my customized
internal modem settings which I had to spend time resetting. Remember
that people use other programs with their modems as well – not just your
program. I found after the fact that it is possible to stop the script in
the regular documentation, but when you are about to do something
destructive, the user should be notified up front either through a
requester or in the readme file.
Otherwise, a fine looking program that I will be trying out.

Yes, I suppose that it shouldn't be launched automatically, that will be
changed.
The script does warn you that it's about to reset the modem to factory
defaults though, and it does ask you if you wish to continue before doing
so.

The same thing happened to me. My SupraFAX (after installing the new
Terminus) quit connecting at 14.4k. I spent about an hour earlier tonight
trying to figure out what the deal was.
I still don't know, but was able to restore it to operative status by
reloading not from factory defaults which I thought would work, but rather
by typing in AT Z1.
Sigh, I am not sure what Terminus changed.

You might want to try resetting the modem to factory defaults by issuing
at&f2&w. The &f2 is factory default 2 which is recommended for Amiga and
ibm use and the &w will rewrite the config to the modem. This factory
setting has always worked for me, but I've made a few minor changes
relating to aesthetics such as lower speaker volume, faster dialing, and
more connect messages indicating compression and error correction.
