Answer Term Prog?
3 messages in this thread
Hi!
I'm looking for a terminal program and/or a BBS program that will answer calls
made to my machine. I've got a few programs, but none of them have the answer
option.
A friend and I wish to communicate via terminal (so we can have a copy for our
records), and instead of me calling him all the time, I want to be able to
answer calls myself. So the BBS option would have to have a chat mode for
speaking with the SysOp.
Any help would be appreciated!

V.98 simultaneous full speed up/download, Phonebook, ANSI, packet
window,more..
The ParaBIT terminal currently allows you up to three simultaneous
modes (upload, download and terminal/menus/text) of operation.
Uploads and downloads operate over your modem at _full_ speed.. so
you are getting about TWICE as much done as you normally would.
ParaBIT multi-tasks OVER your modem!

Ever wanted to have your BBS look like you want it to, but couldn't
find the right BBS software to do it? Then check out 4D-BBS, one of the
most flexible (and yet easy to set up) BBS programs around for the
Amiga! With 4D-BBS, you can design your menus any way you want. 4D-BBS
also provides ANSI support, up to 50 message boards and 50 file
sections, Zmodem protocol, and many other nifty features. (Be sure to
use -r option while unarchiving this file!)

This appears to be a full-featured BBS, supporting a number of
protocols, message base, upload and download directories, allowing fo a
sysop, assistant sysops, and users with different levels of
accessibility. This is version 2.10e, dated Oct. 14, 90. Author: Daniel
Block and others.
These are just a few I found in Library 5: Communications in AmigaUser.
Search using the keyword:BBS
>> Lib 5 bro/key:BBS or bro/lib:all/key:BBS to search ALL the
libraries.
There are others, I used to use one called TAG, the author of recent
version is Chuck Maier, BBS 302 764-3186. You can call it and d/l his
latest evaluation version, while trying out his latest version online.

Chris,
Thanks for the info. I know they're all there, it's just that there are
quite a few, and I wanted a recommendation from someone who had used
them.
Again, thanks!
