Accelerating A2000

I am planning to accelerate my A2000 (more than the AdSpeed I currently
am using). Prices on several options look good but I have a lot of questions:
which are compatible with AMaxII?
which are expandable by the user (RAM)?
what other compatibility problems might I face?
is there good used stuff available?
I am looking at GVP G-Force; Platinum Derringer; Microbotics; 2630 board and
Rocket Launcher/expansion.
I want '030 40Mhz as a minimum (unless a really good deal is available on
some lesser stuff).
I want 8 meg of 32 bit memory.
I run mostly graphics programs (ADPro, DCTV, etc.).
Any thoughts, personal experience with any of the above, or suggestions
will be greatly appreciated.

Go for the GForce series by GVP. I bought a GForce030 40/40/4 last month
and don't want to go back to those 68000 days. I have it installed with a
85Mb Quantum ELS harddisk. I also have installed a GVP series II HC8+ with
8Mb of RAM and a 52Mb Quantum harddisk. This HD will soon be connected
with the GForce. So my configuration has 13Mb of RAM. Must be enough to
run any grafix program available. I works like a dream with ADPro,
MorphPlus etc. Nic Wilson's 'SYSINFO' tells me that the clockspeed of the
GForce is 42.7MHz. This is because a utility supplied by GVP copies the
Kickstart to the 32bit RAM. The 40Mhz version doesn't have MMU, so you
can't run any Virtual Memory programs like VMem or GigaMem.
You want 8Mb of 32bit RAM. GVP's GForce needs special GVP 32bit SIMM
modules.
What's the Platinum Derringer? Is it the 50Mhz version?
I had to choose between the GForce and Derringer. Because I have also a
kickswitch with 2.0 and 1.3 installed, I went for the Gforce. I don't like
to put a board in the 68000 socket, C= supplied the A2000 with a special
processor slot.
I would certainly go for the GForce series.

take it from me don't buy a 40MHz GVP Combo board Amax will throw it back in
your face no matter which version you have. I asked a GVP rep at the WOC show
in SYDNEY AUSTRALIA about their 40MHz board and they said it would work, so I
bought one. Now I'm stuck with a GVP accelerator that won't run Amax and GVP
won't do anything about it. You need an accelerator with an MMU. Don't get
caught like I did, no thanks to GVP!!!
