#SCSI II for A4000

Hi there
Is there suppose to be a scsi II controller for the A4000 ? Who are the people
producing the controller ? Is there any user using the Scsi II controller with
their A4000 ?

Commodore produces the A4091 SCSI-II Fast controller for the A4000.

Thanks for replying. By the way you are a software engineer, do you know where
I can find out more info about compu-graphics fonts that the 2.0 workbench is
using ?
I am looking for the structure of the fonts and how the Amiga workbench is
reading it.

Why? The font.library, et. al., has everything you need to open and use
the fonts. The RKMs should contain all the information you could want or
need.

Well I need to read in some non english fonts. Chinese, Japanese and maybe
Arabic. Some of these fonts are vector fonts, Truetype fonts and Adobe fonts
All of these fonts are either in P.C. or Mac. Sad to say that Amiga is really
lacking in fonts that is not english character.
I am trying to figure out a way to read the above listed fonts. Got any
suggestion where to start looking ?

You might try asking SoftLogik about a package they sell, called something like
"TypeSmith". It does conversions between various font types, though I am not
sure if the ones you want are covered.

Sze,
Maybe you just need the Gold Disk fontmanager or SoftLogik Typesmith to
convert them to Compugraphic fonts. I think TypeSmith will do that for
you (read in as PostScript save as Compugraphic).
You may want to contact SoftLogik in Amiga Vendor to ask if it is possible
with the fonts you have.

have a go at SoftLogik over in AMIGAVENDOR. They distribute a program
called TypeSmith which supports Agfa Compugraphic and PostScript type
fonts and can convert between the formats. They're really friendly and
helpful! I'm afraid though that TrueType isn't something you will find any
support for on the Amiga, but then I'd gladly be proven wrong!

Yes there is also the Z3 Fastlane, by advanced Storage Systems. It is a
SCSI-II fast controler with abilitiy to expand up to 256 megs or RAM. It
is spposed to be out by August is my understanding.
