Since a few days I have problems with my VORTEX GOLDEGADE 386SX. So I send the pice in to VORTEX. Meanwhile I installed my old C= A2286 to have access to my WORD5.5 datas. With my GG I used a VGA-card and still try to use it with the A2286 (according handbook it is possible), however it seems working fine with using the mouse but it don,t take any keystroke no cursor movement at all. I also just updated MSDOS 5.o to 6.0 is it possible that maybe there is something wrong? If anybody has experianced a problem like this, I appreciate every advice. thanks. – Horst – all the way from northern Germany BY AUTOPILOT !!!!

Horst, since you have a VGA-card I assume you have a switch box to switch between the Amiga video and VGA video going to your monitor. At the risk of sounding too elementary, an obvious cause for the mouse to work but not the keyboard is that you do not have the BridgeBoard window on the Amiga side as your active window. With separate VGA video on the Bridgeboard it's not always obvious if the BridgeBoard window on the Amiga side is still your active window especially if you are sharing the same mouse on both the Amiga and BridgeBoard.

Ronnie, you,r right, I found this out yesterday late night after getting angry a few times. And it is so simble after all and logic. Well, sometimes i wonder why I sit on this computer instead of going fishing or something easy like that. Now I have to remember to bring the PC-Window infront before I switch over to the PC-side. Thank you for your reply. – Horst – all the way from northern Germany BY AUTOPILOT !!!!
