IMO, SuperPlan is one of the most advanced spreadsheets for the Amiga, maybe the most advanced ever. Lotus has just copied the features SP had 8 years ago. Why isn't anyone spreading the gospel? And MARKETING SP?? Anyway, I am a SP user, and I need some technical help. Most spreadsheets allow user to dump the spreadsheet formulas to a file, and this is helpful when making revisions, dump to an ascii file and search for strings using a word processor to be sure we have picked up all the necessary revisions. I need to go back in to an older SP spreadsheet and make revisions, and this feature would really be handy. Can you tell me how to do it, or refer me to a source who knows? Please E-Mail response. Will appreciate your help. btw, yer fone system sux. (User input fyi)

I also had SuperPlan, and as a spreadsheet, I thought it was about the best I had ever used. It was a lot like Supercalc, originally for CP/M and later MS/DOS. However, I had all kinds of printing troubles with SP, and the file system never did work right. It was extreamly difficult to keep worksheets in different directories, and switch from one to the other. There was a time when I would have upgraded willingly, but now, I belive Gold Disk's ProCalc is as good as SP was, and it is Amigaized. Oxxi will have to do a major upgrade to convince me to upgrade, and it will have to be very low priced. Bill Roberts — Autopilot from Ellettsville, Indiana

>> I haven't seen SuperPlan for a while,… That's because it has received no support for about three years, and didn't deserve any back then. >> … what advantages does it have over maxiplan 4? None. It also dosen't have any advantages over Analyze! (the first spreadsheet available for the Amiga 1000, five years ago). Actually, had SuperPlan been properly "Amigaized" before being ported from the PC to the Amiga (by Precision), and been supported and upgraded after it was brought over, it might be a good spreadsheet. Now, it requires major upgrades just to be competitive. Although Oxxi has made noises about possibly supporting it when they get time from supporting SuperBase, I don't expect to see it. IMHO, get ProCalc (my first recommendation) or Maxiplan (a reasonable second choice). Unless Oxxi is willing to commit major resources to SuperPlan, it is a dead dinosaur.
