There's much about this editor that I like, but I'm getting pretty frustrated with some parts of it. Specifically, the way in which it implements pattern matching. Or maybe, I'm having trouble with the way WB2.1 handles pattern matching, since Turbotext says (on page D-3 of the manual) that it uses the ROM pattern matching code in 2.04+ versions of the OS. I'm not able to use ^J to locate end-of-line. (I can use this in WB1.3 – I have a ROM switcher and tried it.) How *can* I do a search for end-of-line in WB2.1? I can't search for a ?, even though I should be able to do so by using '?. Does this even work in a shell? The 2.1 AmigaDOS manual says it should work (page 1-10), but it doesn't in the TTX find function. I'm afraid to try using this character in a file name! And lastly, I've been trying to build some more templates for a definition file. I can't seem to find any way to include a " (that's a double quote) in a definition, since it uses them to delineate (sp?) the definition string! It doesn't seem as though something as simple as a printf("@"); is even possible. Any suggestions as to how to overcome these limitations would be entirely welcome!
