I just read on AppleLink a message from Dave Winner, commenting about Bedrock:

I guess nobody's officially commenting on this stuff, but from what I hear none
of the Apple folks working on Bedrock were involved in the cutbacks. So, from
my perspective, it sounds like nothing has changed re Bedrock.
