Continuing the Source Control Blues conversation… My apologies about the command line interface. When I asked Tech Support about the merge branch procedures, I was given a foggy response eluded to the fact that you may be able to do something like that If you had ToolServer. I misinterpreted the conversation and at one point hit Option-Enter rather than Control-Enter which causes a "ToolServer not found" error. I would like to know if there is an expanded guide to the server commands. It would be helpful to have a more detailed syntactic guide. For example I am not sure how to specify the project in the "MountProject" command. This may not be as much of a problem to experienced MPW users, however I have always used Think C and am unfamiliar with the MPW syntax. To expand on the problem of Apple events timing out when sent to source server. I am also encountering the "Apple event timed out.." dialog after 1 minute when sending source server commands via the Control-Enter. I would also like to know if anyone at Symantec has any suggestions about how I might get our Monstrous project organized and checked in. Our project is made up of about 350 .C files and about the same number of .H files. It is a front end product for our airline reservation system that gives the user a simpler GUI interface. These files are arranged in sub-folders under our main project folder based on their functionality. For example all of the files for handling airline transactions are in the Air sub-folder. At this point we haven't solidified any one portion of the code enough to break it off into a library. Our primary goal is to reduce the pains associated with 6 developers working on one project. Again our main problem is that our project is so big that we continually get timeout messages, even when SourceServer and the ProjectorDB are on a local drive.
