Reference AmigaUser: > LIB 5 ! > > XPRZ26.LHA/Bin Bytes: 58284, Count: 79, 18-Jul-93 Has anyone been able to get: > 24032 14344 40.3% 11-Jun-93 23:39:14 xprzmodem.library from this archive to work for uploads? If so, what's the secret? (It does seem to download OK.) I can't get it to upload under VLTjr Version 5.576 (either ZModem text or binary transfers). I've tried a couple of different BBSs/services with the same results. When I revert back to: > xprzmodem.library 20172 —-rwed 06-Mar-92 20:10:04 > : xprzmodem 2.52 (06-Mar-92) then everything's just fine. YES I did make sure that I'd flushed and was using the library version(s) I thought I was. Perhaps the two versions require different parameters — since the CIS archive includes essentially no documentation — I couldn't say no 🙂 I also didn't try the 030 (so it says) version of the library — but, since the archive does not identify the author responsible for 'Version 2.60' I'm not inclined to waste any more time on it. Bob, You might be wise to pass on this one. As the author states, he only writes these things because "people ask him to". The author boo-booed and left an inaccurate tag in the code. For example if you rename the files to XPRZMODEM68020.LIBRARY, XPRZMODEM68030.LIBRARY, etc., the library will be found. -John-

John – > You might be wise to pass on this one. Right. > As the author states, he . . . Do you know who the author is? I couldn't find any clue in this archive — including looking thru the executable! I shoulda stuck with my usual rule for unidentified code — immediate deletion! At best, such an incomplete archive smells of unauthorized distribution — at worst, need I say? > The author boo-booed and left an inaccurate tag . . . I kinda thought so but only installed the processor-indifferent (sic) version and that hardly encouraged me to try xprzmodem68030.library (under any name). REC ——
