#3D model in area 10
12 messages in this thread
Just uploaded a 3D Model of QUESTIONABLE use. It's a Tube with 5 lights
evenly spaced along the "Ceiling" of the Tube(Corridor) and has Dark Blue
Rails along both "WALLS", it's part of a new LARGE anim I'm doing. A Bloke
Runs down this CORRIDOR trying to Escape captivity on an Alien Flying
Saucer. Total # of Frames will be 5000-6000 Frames.
The Lights Cast a YELLOWish Light. An idea for a SEWER scene could use
this with a Hemisphere extruded to the Same Length as the Corridor and
make the Hemisphere have Watery Attributes and add some WAVES to it.
After my Abduction animation is done I'll probably do this.
How about some TITLE Helps folks?
The Abduction of………..(fill in the poor saps name)
I'm tempted to suggest "The Abduction of Ray Trace", but that's a little
tacky. 🙂
Steve
hehehehehehehehe Abduction of Ray Trace. BTW I just uploaded some JPEG's
from this Anim to Amigaarts Original Art area.
OK! We'll take a look at them and get them approved to the library ASAP.

okey Dokey Steve. Thanx for getting to the images right away
Your anim will be 5000-6000 frames??? I have trouble finding hard drive
space for 300-500 frame anims.
I presume you're using more than one machine to render? Or just one VERY
fast machine? ;^o
I'm using an A3000 25 mhz for most of the frames. There is NO RUSH on the
project since it is for my Enjoyment only. I have a CDTV and an
Accelerated 500 I could press into service but won't unless neccessary.
The Corridor Scene is taking 30 minutes per frame to render, the whole
scene is 300 frames. I've done 100 of the 300 frames so far. I'll be GLAD
when the other 200 frames are completed and the Muscleguy reaches the end
of the Corridor and enters the Armoury.
It's nice not to be on a deadline with your animations. Still, I have
trouble waiting for 300 frame anims to render and I've got a 50 mhz 030.
(realtime rendering would be nice :^) I suppose it's a little more
bearable if you've got another machine to use while the 3000's chewing on
the animation.
I'm typing this reply to you on my 3000 WHILE another 100 frames of the
Corridor sequence is rendering. Actually it's the LAST 100 frames.
I compiled the first 200 into an anim of 1.8 megs and it runs QUITE
smoothly and looks GREAT. I just hope the next Sequence doesn't have 30
minutes per frame rendering times. It shouldn't tho as I'm going to keep
it a bit murky in the "Weapons Locker" where the Muscle Guy finds some
"Goodies" to battle his Captor.
Really a silly premise, after all going thru all the trouble of Abductiong
a Human just to give him free reign in a ship unto the point of even
allowing him to find weapons to destroy you with seems DUMB to me and I
WROTE IT !!!!!! but it should be a nice bit of Eye Candy.
How about a bug (roach type) in the transporter system? A a malfunction
would explain how he got on board when there seems to be nobody around to
keep an eye on him. Of course it could be a clerical error. ;^) (that
would imply it's a government ship)
hahahahahahahaha LMAO….. BUG in the System, Maybe I'll add that into the
script. Show a Alien scratching his head while a Roachlike creature
saunters out of the Transporter POD.
Arthur Dent on steroids?
