#AA Pro to VCR Tape?
6 messages in this thread
We are looking at buying AA Pro (whatever the latest ver.) and I was wondering
what would be needed to put the animations on video tape. Let me give you some
details.
We produce graphics, animations and box work for software dev. houses and have
been giving the teams full running anims to see the motion and action of the
characters, etc., etc. It is how we keep everybody on the same page. This was
fine until we moved in SVGA (640x480x256) animations.
We would like to give our clients a "running" demo of the product on tape, to
use at shows, etc., even before the first line of code is written.
What we would be running AA Pro on is a Pentium 90 with ample HD and RAM.
What software, hardware, etc. is needed to pull off what we are looking at. A
side note, like everybody else we are looking for the best option at the best
price.
So, do you need any more information or does any one have any ideas?
Thanks, Matthew K. Walter Walter Studios
Hi Matthew, I shopped around for a while and decided on a card called VTV-2000.
It is an animation, video controller (and a bunch of other things. It requires
a high speed HD (like Micropolis AV series) but it does not hog it up all to
itself like the PAR system does, so you can still use that HD for other files.
I am very satisfied with their customer support too.
It is extremely simple to use. It will play your high-res animations to video
tape, so you do not need a VCR controller of any kind. Get the full specs from
them at 612-560-6205.
Arturo,
Thanks for the info, I'll check them out.

Hi Matthew,
Latest ANiPro version is 1.3
For low res 640x480x256 I'm using a Averkey (about $300) fits between your
video card and monitor (does not do over and under scan in 320×200 though) its
cheap and works..
As with all video work stay away from saturated colors like reds etc
hope it helps CU GH in OZ
Latest AAPro version: 1.3a.<–

Thanks Garry!
