#Frames and Fields

Is there a way to record a heads and tails when rendering fields in your
animation? I like to use field rendering to smooth animation but you only get
single fields in your heads and tails. Andy ideas?

Since heads and tails holds a single frame for a duration, you may wish to use
a frame that was rendered to "frames" so that it doesn't jitter.

There are two ways I know of to accomplish "good" heads and tails. The first
and most ideal (though not always applicable) is to make sure that you have
absolutely NO camera or object motion in the first and last frames.
The second method is what Jonas Ruikis suggested – render first and last frames
to "frames" not feilds. This can cause a "jump" in action if there is lots of
motion in the second and second to last frames, so it won't always be ideal.

William,
I render the first and last frame and switch to fields and render the
animation I then use video post or an IFL and disk to VRT to put it on tape. I
can hold the heads or tales as long as I want with no jittering.
