"I assume its a 70NS SIMM and thats why you don't need it? The Warp engine can use those SIMMS if they are 60NS for the 040/40 or 70NS for the 040/33." I've kept one of the 4MB SIMMs Shawn so that's 20MB in my 4000. I rarely need 20MB unless I'm doing some scanning or image processing, in which case I can use virtual memory. Also I wanted to get away from the 70ns SIMMs and start populating the Warp with 60ns or faster. // John (Speeding on the Information Superhighway) \X/ Mercury@ins.infonet.net

I agree, Why wait, a increase in the wait state that is. I have 20MB in my 4000 as well. Finding a 60NS 16MB SIMM was a bugger though. Good luck on you sale.:) Shawn Silent Paw Productions

H.Co was selling the single-sided 16MB 60ns SIMMs for $599. Not a bad price, and I like the fact they are single-sided. If you need the phone number, I can get it for you. // John (Speeding on the Information Superhighway) \X/ Mercury@ins.infonet.net

Is that a 72 pin 4×32 (or 4×36) SIMM??? I may just want to give them a cal! 🙂 Bob Comer — AmigaDOS and OS/2, the only way to compute! Cheyenne, Wyoming U.S.A.

Bob: Yep, its 72 pin and I'm pretty sure its 4 x 32, but I didn't check for sure. I don't think it matters for the WarpEngine because I think it can use either, since the extra bits are parity I believe. // John (Speeding on the Information Superhighway) \X/ Mercury@ins.infonet.net

My boards can use the 4×36's too, but I don't like having those extra bits laying around 😉 Bob Comer — AmigaDOS and OS/2, the only way to compute! Cheyenne, Wyoming U.S.A.
