#PC/Mac Toaster????

Dear Toasters,
I gather that there are versions of the Toaster on PC and Mac. Has anyone seen
those/ had any experience with them ? What are the differences?
Would love to hear from all of you 🙂

Who ever has seen Toasters for the MAC and IBM has also seen Yeti, Bigfoot
and Alot of UFO's
There are TOASTER LIKE devices for the IBM and MAC but no Toaster
There are no native Toaster solutions for the PC or the Mac. Only on the
Amiga.
There was a version of the Toaster that linked a Mac and the Amiga so you
could control some of the effects, but I don't think that is for sale
anymore. (If someone around here knows for sure, I'm sure they'll pipe
up). There is no version of that software for sale for the PC.
ToasterLink, the Mac-Toaster connection is kind of a secret product,
although it is still available.
Secret product? What do you mean? They advertised it for a while.
And the depth of knowledge of it here and in the general public is an
indicator of the runaway success of that stint of advertising! ;->
The Toaster Link is a product that links the Video Toaster/Amiga platform to
your Mac via a SCSI cable. The product was not exactly an amazing success, and
I'm quite sure you can find MANY toaster dealers anxious to make you a great
deal. Last I knew, NewTek even had a large stockpile of nifty promotional
T-shirts (3/4 sleeve softball jersy kind) you might be able to get in the
bargin. No guarentees on current or future product support (check with your
dealer or NewTek), but the product is a good way to merge Toaster and Mac
graphics if you're not all networked up yet.
You know, product support would be _crucial_ in the case you just mentioned. I
mean, what if the T-shirts shrink in the wash or something? <ducking>

I was the NYU Apple Student Rep. When I was at the PPC rollout, one of the
Apple PPC software development guys said that "The Toaster People were at one
of Apple's test-sites and were impressed with what they saw." This was in
March.
