#IM resizing ?
3 messages in this thread
This is probably common knowledge to most, but I missed it.
I want to rescale an Image to fit my Toaster screen (752 x 480). When
some images are rescaled to that size they come out oblongish and just not
good. How can I type in 752 for x and have y automatically adjust to the
correct size? I've been working with my amiga for years and didn't even
know this was a possibility until I used Photoshop at work.

Steve,
in the Stretch Clip requester, enter 752 in "X Dimension" and press Return.
The "Horizontal scale" slider will change to a certain value; adjust "Vertical
scale" to the same value, and click OK.
By the way, I don't have a Toaster, so I have no idea whether the Toaster
software will complain if it sees an image which is not exactly 752 x 480; you
may have to use Process/Clipping/Pad Canvas to add black areas at the top &
bottom of your image in order to make it come out to 480 pixels tall.

Steve,
There are two issue to be dealt with here: Size, and aspect ratio.
Size is easy… process/clip has all the tools you'll need.
Aspect is set in the buffers panel; you'll want to set the aspect to
NTSC/LACE after the rescale, most likely.
