I just purchased a GVP 68040/40 accelerator card for my A4000. Unfortunately, I have an older machine which has 1 50mhz crystal and 1 28 mhz crystal. I assume I must replace the 28mhz crystal with a 50. The question is, where can I pyrchase these? Any assistance would be appreciated. Thanks

Doug, Memory World has (or at least has recently had) them. They advertise in AW. Bill

Doug, The (2) 50MHz crystal question hit me too at the time of my first GVP-4000/040 install. However after a call to GVP Technical Support, I learned that the manual was in error and that the GVP-4000/040 will work fine with 1-50MHz and 1-28MHz crystal. Go ahead and install the board, it will work. -John

Thanks for the info John, I gave it a try and it seems to work ok. BTW, do you know if the board is running at maximum speed with the 28mkz crystal. Thanks again for your help. Doug

Doug, The manual is incorrect. Your configuration is just fine. Plug in the board and play. GVP TECH

Thanks, it is working fine. Is the board performing at maximum or is there still an advantage to using the 50mhz crystal? Thanks for your help. Doug
