Ag Threads Au needles

Greg,
The time has come (actually it's overdue) to learn two points of protocol in
using the forum. I have observed your responding to messages (thus creating a
thread) but can't figure out how to do it. E-mail provides you with "reply" to
message but asoft doesn't seem to do this. How do you respond to a message
without creating a new message number?
Secondly, e-mail provides a nice little address book. Is there a similar
feature in asoft that i have not been able to find?
Thanks, Michael
Michael:
You are correct, those are two very nice things to do! However, it has been so
long since I did CIS by hand that I don't remember either of them!
I use OzCIS, a shareware program available for download on the "GO OZCIS"
forum, in library 2. You need two files, OZ2D1.EXE and OZ2D2.EXE, both self
extracting archives.
This program does everything for you, including downloads and tracking threads
from many forums. So you too can forget everything you didn't want to learn
about CIS, and save lots of money besides, since you do everything off-line!

Michael – are you using Compuserve directly, or through a front-end like
Tapcis or WinCIM?
To reply to a message in plain Compuserve, you type REP for reply instead of
COM for compose at the forum ! prompt. If you have a front end, you'll find
it all much easier, and probably save a few bucks at the same time.
