We are getting some memory errors when using 3dstudio which I assume
are coming from some sort of conflict between Phar Lap and QEMM,
which we are using as our department wide memory manager. We are
using ver. 2 of 3dstudio and are wondering if upgrading to ver. 3
will help alleviate this problem.
I think upgrading to Release 3 would improve the quality of your
animations (the renderer is VASTLY superior, and the extra features
render R2 pretty much yesterday's news). But R3 is even more
finnicky than R2 about memory conflicts. I have Qemm 7.02 and R3,
and they run just fine on all of my machines.
