What do you know about FliTape ? I am going to try to use Animator
Pro \ FliTape and the Magni Video Producer Pro (VGA – to – NTSC
converter) to output to a single frame VTR. The device I can get
ahold of is a JVC 822.
I think I need some kind of animation controller (+ software for
it) but the fellow who's trying to rent the 822 to me isn't sure. I'd
really hate to have the thing delivered and then find out I don't
have everything I need to make it work.
Flitape requires a targa card and a single frame accurate VTR. If
you're using a magni card, animator pro can play a flic (realtime)
and you could use a regular home VCR.

Or any card supported through an ADI driver. We used it on our Vista
often, before 3DS supported flic-to-tape internally.
