Good Evening, I need to run 3DS3 Main Display in 800 x 600 x 65000 or higher. I am currently using a SuperMac Thunder 24 EISA as my main video board and a Speedstar 24 with 1mb on board as secondary (vga)board. Can you possibly mention some boards that will enable me to get the 800 x 600 x hopefully 24bit main display up and running? I am not asking for a product reccomendation, just some clues as to what will do the job. Thanks, Will Tait

Will, << I am not asking for a product reccomendation, just some clues as to what will do the job. >> The clues can be found by downloading the latest Vibrant drivers, "vib3ds.zip", from the 3D Studio section of the lib. Install it according to the associated read me file. When configuring 3DS with the Vibrant inline drivers, you can view all of the currently supported cards along with the supported chipsets. If a card happens not to be on this list, the drivers also support VESA compatibles. For each card, a range of resolutions and color depth information is available. jonas[adesk]

Thanks Jonas, I will do as you suggest. A question though. The installation manual says that if VESA is used then 800 x 600 x 8 is max. Is this true? Thanks again for taking time to reply to my prior question. will

Hi there I like the Orchid P9000 or you might want to try the new ATI 64 bit board I've heard it's really a screamer. Mike White [SDP]
