Did anyone else see that the latest issue of Byte has an editorial type piece at the end (either the last or near last page I think), on Commodore? Something like "RIP: Commodore…" Anyway, I think it's an exceptionally well written article, and VERY positive on the merits of Commodore's technology throughout the years.

Thanks for bringing that up. I just looked in the recent issue. That is an excellent article.

Interesting how all of a sudden people in the computer press are saying good things about Commodore technology NOW! Dvorak and makes a positive comment in the new MacUser about how the Amiga has had true multitasking for years and Apple is just getting around to it for System 7,5……

I guess its not so threatening a system to talk about. How could a cringely/dvorak/pournelle praise the Amiga's kernal or ARexx, then go on to praise the new 640k limit work-around package that works with most DOS apps, or Apple's radical move to use dma scsi!
