#Drawing Tutorials

I could use some advice as to usefulness and availability of books that might
teach me something about computer graphics techniques. I am fascinated with a
"pre-owned" Deluxe Paint II I bought recently. Now I'd like to learn how to
draw with it. 😎 I tried acquiring a book from Computer Shopper called
"Professional Results with DPaint II," but I also found that, like its subject,
it's out of print. I'm getting familiar with the manual. Now, how do I draw?
Is anything available worth recommending? Thanks.

I can't recommend anything specific to Deluxe Paint II, (or any computer
program, really), but I'm going through the book "Drawing on the Right
Side of the Brain" by Betty Edwards. It's a pretty interesting book to
read, and it has tutorial lessons throughout. I plan on taking what I
learn from there and applying it to my computer work.
Hope that helps!
A great source of info is Joel Hagen's superlative "Accent on graphics" column,
which appears every month in Amiga World. You may want to ask your local or
regional Amiga dealer about schools in your area which have bought Amigas; if
you're lucky, these schools may have a full set of Amiga World back issues! I
would also recommend the video(s?) put out by Amiga World, one of which I
believe dealt with advances DPaint techniques; their number is (603) 924-0100.
