#Error importing DXF

Hi, I'm trying to import a big DXF generated by GIFDXF.EXE into 3DS r3. It works OK only if the DXF entity has less than +-12000. If I try to import a more complex grid the program hangs (with no error message) and I'm forced to reset the machine. Well I got an error once, with Weld vertex ON: Not enough memory for this operation. I've tried importing with and without welding vertex and Autosmoothig options, unsuccesfully. I'm using a DECpc XL 560 with 48Mb. Not enough? Does anyone know something about this? TIA PS I've seen the Displace.pxp demo. Is it already available? Ignacio.

I'm not sure what's up, but you could try to break up the dxf into peices (cut up the gif file, then gifdxf each one), then put them together (boolean union) in 3DS, if all else fails. John Tissavary (LUNA cie)

That's exactly the job I didn't want to do, because the complexity of the gif (and the resulting DXF) will require me to do _my best_ this time. I'll try it tomorrow. Something more: I've read you use a Wacom tablet. Maybe you know why I have to run the WTEST program to make the mouse emulation work properly in 3ds. If I don't run Wtest, any aproaching of the stylus is read as a left-click. If I swith the tablet to pressure mode (it is) the Left-click function (pressing) works OK without runnig WTest, but the stylus' button will not right-click. Thank you, John.
