Internal Errors
5 messages in this thread
With regard to the message I just sent you re above – I increased the swap file
size to 200 MB.
I then re-booted.
Now I get an Internal Error while I am loading the FLIC !
I can find no pattern leading to these problems which is why they are so hard
to avoid.
If AAS is incapable of handling a 4MB file, it can have no serious application.
I am very close to giving up with this program all together.
I think version 1.1 is well overdue …………….
Best regards

Cyrus, i wasn't sure if anyone had responded to this, so i'm responding just in
case. <g> i've been able to load a 4MB FLIC on a system with 100MB free, so i
wouldn't suspect its the swap file. just curious… is there another system you
can try this on? is AStudio the only application you have "open" when working
on the flic, and could we see your CONFIG.SYS and AUTOEXEC.BAT files?
BTW, it was announced at Art Teco II (the 1st annual Multimedia Developers
Conference) that a patch will be available in August for Animator Studio which
will resolve many of the problems we've seen reported here and increase
performance tremendously. x.0 of any software always takes some ironing out.
Leave it to the hardcores to push its trial envelope. 😉

Point well made.
And no, AAS was the only application open.
The config.sys and autoexec.bat files have been shaved to the essential
minimum.
Waiting patiently for August patch !!
Thanks for the info.

No doubt Mark or Nik or someone will post a notice once in a while regarding
progress on the patch as many are waiting on it. -dave
Thanks for the update
