It is so hard to recomend drives these days…. How many discs will you be making? How many each time? How many copies of each disc? What is the host system? Do you see Mac or hybrid discs in your future? Cheers, Georges CD Archive, Inc. http://www.cdarchive.com

Larry, I hate doing this but… I have two favorite drives right now but we are now testing the new SONY so I may change my mind in a week or two 🙂 The Philips CDD 522 and Kodak PCD 225. They are basically the same drive. Kodak added the feature to read Photo CD bar codes, this is a nice feature if you ever plan to implement something with the disc transporter. Both drivesa cost about the same… Kodak includes 25 discs the Philips includes software. Both handle audio well enough to make your "fun" discs. The first tech call we get is always " I am making a mix disc for my car…. " people always use this feature more than they want to admit, this is a business machine right:-) I really think I am biased though as we only carry Kodak, Philips, Yamaha, Sony and Plasmon drives. You should post your questions to get an honest answer <G>. Please let me know if there is anything I can help you out with…. Cheers, Georges CD Archive, Inc. http://www.cdarchive.com
