I'm having problems reading a CD-R under NT. The CD was created on a Pinnacle 1000 – using Corel CD Creator in XA format. The NT read machine has a Toshiba XM3401-TA CD player and an Adaptec 1740 SCSI card. I can read to CD's on the same machine running WFWorkgroups. Thanks in advance for anyone's help.

Brenda, the toshiba drive needs a special command to read XA disks. Look out in the Windows NT forum here on CompuServe (i think it's GO WINNT). There should be a driver there for the Toshiba drives enabling readback of XA disks. Sincerely Peter

I'm having a problem locating the drivers in WINNT forum. Could you be more specific

I'm sorry. In fact i told you the wrong forum. The driver is in the MS Windows NT SDK forum (GO MSWIN3). In the Library section 'Tools-Third Party' there is a file named 'TOSH' without an extension which is in fact a ZIP file. Unzip it and follow the instructions in the file. Sincerely Peter
