Hello everyone –
I'm not sure where to even start for this one, so I'll try this forum:
I'm trying to locate a Novell compatible CDROM driver for an IDE Sony CDROM.
Novell can only mount a CD as a volume if the interface is SCSI, unless a
compatible Novell driver can be used. Does anyone know if there is a driver
like this available, or do I have to get a SCSI CDROM. I'm currently using
Novell 4.1.
Thanks for your help –

Novell still supports only SCSI CD-ROM drives on their servers, and I
haven't heard of any third party software for IDE drives at all. Problem with
them is the single-threaded nature of the IDE interface… SCSI can handle
multiple devices and requests and IDE can't really do that.
