#3DLabs Video Board

Hi John,
ELSA's GLoria is a 3D controller that combines a 3Dlabs GLINT chip with an S3
Vision968 to give you excellent performance for 3D acceleration as well as
Windows performance.
The GLoria is a shipping product. It has drivers for Windows, Windows NT,
OS/2, etc. It supports OpenGL as well as other important 3D APIs.
You can look for the file WINNER.TXT, that describes ELSA's product line, in
the libraries or you can call ELSA directly at 800-272-ELSA for additional
information.
Best of luck with your search.
Sincerely,
Tom

I would like to see the WINNER.TXT file but could not find it either here or
in the forum where ELSA resides. In addition, ELSA has several sections in
their forum. Could you be specific about forum name and library section where
this file can be found?
I will try the 800 number you gave.
Hi Albert,
Thanks for bringing this to my attention. The file had not been uploaded to
this forum. I will upload it to Lib #6, Hardware.
Of course you can always use the 800 number. 🙂
Sincerely,
Tom
>>>The most interesting piece of news about the Glint chip is that there are
no drivers to accelerate 3D Studio just yet. And, according to >>>one of the
vendors, those drivers won't be available until the end of the year. Rather
grim news for the 3DS crowd. But once they hit, it will >>>be great.
I talked to one of the reps at fujitsu and they said that the board had been
shipping for about two weeks, and
that there were drivers for 3DStudio that were excelerated. The guy told me
that they were running 3DStudio
just the other day.
Thanks
John

Could you post the telephone number? I am curious. Thanks.

I can imagine that they were running 3DS, but can you tell me what they had
"accelerated" for 3DS? I'm curious. 🙂
FWIW, ELSA has been shipping the GLoria since May.
As for the 3DS acceleration that Kelly was taliking about, that was most likely
refering to the new 3DS Release 5 under NT.
Sincerely,
Tom
