Hi, David. I just purchased LenzFX yesterday. I really like the IPAS. I also carefully read throught the TECH NOTES. So I got farmiliar with the varies way to deal with the problem with Aura or Starlight with 2D Z Bubber. I was doing this project of a house in the clouds. I wanted to use flare to pass by the structure. Everything is fine, but the roof disappeared, and some edges of the roof remain visible. The camera view is in the front. The roof is consided of a couple very close, and kind of nested meshes. I was wondering if this is related to the 2D ZBuffer 3ds limitation, just like what was described in the Aura, Starlight TECH NOTES. Thanks very much.

Hi Aaron, I'm not exactly sure what's going on with the roof but since LenZFX is an IXP it waits until the scene is processed and rendered before it does anything. Then (for a flare) it figures out where your light was in the scene and composites a 2D lens flare image over the image. If your roof is dissappearing, it's doing it before LenZFX ever sees it. It's better to call us for tech support if possible so that we can ask some questions. I'm sure we can help you out though. Tech support is (504) 468-7898. David – Digimation

Aaron, Your problem has nothing to do with LenZFX. It's a clipping problem. If faces are disappearing then you need to either scale your entire scene up or don't get the camera closer than what the clipping plane is set at. Also, it's always better to increase the scale of your scene instead of trying to reduce the clipping plane's setting in 3DS.SET. DM

Thank you, I will try that out. Hope you will come out with other cool products soon. I can't wait.
