Sounds incredible but it's true when paging becomes horrendous on a PC (or any
machine). The Challengers huge RAM and fast bus really kick arse when that
situation occurs. I am of course talking about scenes that need maybe 300-400mb
to render.

Of course, I don't think any of us are pulling in the cash it takes to purchase
on Onyx machine…however, I do dream of rendering to machine that could put
about a thousand frames every minute or so…
The headlines would read: "Man animates house; dies of starvation in same day"

I would be pleased with 60 / second, or about 3600 per minute.

To be honest, I'd be pleased with 30 frames a second…just think – rendering
and laying animation simultaneously.
