I saw an article recently on a simulation/animation software package
developed to run on SGI platforms from Engineering Animations, Inc.
in Iowa. I would like to talk to anyone who is familiar with the
package and/or is a user. It looks interesting, but I don't know
much about it or the $$$$$$. James L.
The folks at Engineering Animations are great guys. The VisLab piece
is the first animation package for the SGI that actively utilizes
hardware rendering instead of software rendering. Soooooo ….. it's
unbelievably fast. They'll be showing off the software at NAB March
20-24 in Vegas. If you're running workstations the software
definately warrants a review. List price is below $10,000.
