See my posting for Virgin Games in the library, or just fax me a resume at 714-833-2136, and send a reel to Virgin Interactive Entertainment, Attn: Kelly Turner, 18061 Fitch Ave., Irvine, CA 92714. We are looking for great artists who are creative and want to have fun for a living! Kelly

Dear KTurner: We are strangers, I know. But I own an electronic graphics business called Pixel Perfect Communications. I have no long-term positions available, sorry. But I do have something which may interest you (as long as you are an accomplished 3D artist.) Currently I am SWAMPED with work and I have a fairly "simplistic" (the stranger said, with a slight grin) scene which I need created. Are you a good 3D modeler/designer? The scene consists of an elevated view of a zoo. Kind of like a view from a plane, only in 3D. No animal detail whatsover. Only major structures (which could be fairly simplistic — but not cartoonish renditions) and the footpaths/sidewalks throughout the zoo. Other details would include moderate attention to landscaping detail, taking artistic liberty with tree and shrub placement, and contouring the basically flat layout with moderate slopes. There are several watering holes which need to be represented. A train track running the perimeter of the zoo might be included as well. Again, not to approach photo-realism, but to add texture and visual interest. The files I would need would include all models, maps, textures, etc. as well as a 640 x 480 24-bit image. Time frame is somewhat flexible, but the sooner the better. I will provide all pertinent artwork, which basically consists of a real cheesy pamphlet they gave my company. Are you interested? If so, can you ball park the cost and time for me? Please respond ASAP. Thanks! Oh yea!….uhh ….nice to meet you…. — Danno
