Hi Jerry,
I appreciate the compliment. I think I will propose it as the subject of an
article for Planet Studio, as a short tips and techniques topic. This would
allow me to cover the subject more thoroughly and in a more comprehensive
manner. Some of the comments I've recieved on uploads have been with regard to
incomplete or not enough detailed explanation, and so, with that in mind I
think it would be more worthwhile to take that approach.
Thanks for your interest, I'll let you know how its recieved.

John:
It certainly would make a great article. Wish you would consider using it in
"3d Artist" instead. Only because I don't subscribe to "Planet Studio."
In the San Diego User Group I know of a number who do subscribe to 3d Artist
but don't know of any off hand who subscribe to Planet Studio. Their articles
are most excellent but the size to cost I feel is a little excessive. If I
recall it seems to me it works out to about a buck a page for a subscription.
I'm not saying such info is not valuable, but in my humble opionion the mag
needs to get larger or reduce the price. FWIW.

Jerry,
I appreciate you've interest and will contact Bill Allen and see if this is a
topic he would be interested in having me cover. It really does not make any
difference to me which magazine its in, and in fact I think it would be of more
general interest in 3D Artist, so thanks for the suggestion. With regard to
Planet Studio, I understand your comments. They try to provide more in depth
coverage of a specialized nature in a concise fashion which theoretically
should save you time and money, as a result. I feel both are valid for
different reasons, and are two that I regard very highly, amoungst alot of the
dribble out there. <G> So as far as I'm concerned it would be a honor to write
this up for you in 3D Artist. 🙂
Regards,
John

If I don't see something sooooon………… I'm going to inquire of the map
process you used on the flat surface of Nexus. <g>
Of course you don't have to reveal "ALL" your trade secrets, I'll just catch
you on a slooooow day. ; ]
In the mean time I'm going to strive for that "look of perfection."
Have a pleasant weekend.

Oh yeah… <g>
Well lets see now… I might be persuaded to give you a sample of the project
file if you'd be willing to give me some serious feedback for the article…,
alot of room here, but I'd like a fresh view (which you could provide) on how
its altered your perceptions of creating metals and how its different from the
way you've done them in the past….. things along those lines would be very
helpful as it would give me a better overall perspective on my audience…
What do you think… is this a doable proposal? If so you got deal. 🙂

John:
Nothing would please me more. I don't think much has been written on the
subject. Probably, most as well as yourself learned through trial and error,
where I'm hoping to get a big boost and learn from your experiences.
Maybe I'll also be able to twist your arm to write a book as well. Consider
the first copy SOLD. <g>
Jerry
Jerry,
We've got to get together for lunch sometime. I'll post you an e-mail and we
can discuss all this further… how's that?
John
John:
Sounds good to me. BTW. You've probably told me several times, but do
you live in the San Diego area? Seems you said you did, or someone
did, or maybe I do!!! ; ]
If you do I'll buy the lunch, your choice. If you don't…. well too bad. <g>
Jerry
Jerry,
