Thanks for your reponse , look forward to seeing the movie (either when it reaches the UK or maybe i'll nip out at Siggraph and see it), cool way of solving the lip sync problem & i understand that you've got the Herbie mc shots on your reel……now you have got me jealous, great work. james

James, it's great to be involved with these kind of projects. I'm fairly happy with the work we produced – let's see what the audience and industry thinks …. >> i understand that you've got the Herbie mc shots on your reel << there was no 3ds "mc" (motion capture) in the Herbie video, although the biped aliens were built in 3ds and exported to Kinemation for use with MC. Not to say it couldn't have been done in 3ds/IK or Puppeteer but we didn't have anybody available on the PC side to do it. Most of the creature animation done in 3ds was done with IK or morphing – the creatures are mostly too weird to motion capture. Maybe you could use one of those monkey devices but it really wasn't necessary for this project. Martin
