#Sunlight?
5 messages in this thread
Once I saw somewhere a reference to sunlight. How interesting i
thought, must read sometime. Busy with the project on hand i
dismissed the thouhgt quickly.
Now that I have the time and would like to read about sunlight, i cant
remember where i saw it! I thought it was some where in the manual
but cant find it in the index for bean! Was it a topic i saw here?
does anyone know where it is?
"Inside 3D StudioR3" has a small section on different qualities of
light… I assume it made it into the R4 version.
FWIW, ray-traced shadows usually give the most realistic harsh
sunlight shadows, in contrast to more diffuse, indoor shadows. Make
sure your sun spotlight is very far away from the scene, to keep the
rays as close to parallel as possible.

Go to the window and look out…..
Sunlight…what a concept…
Read in a forum somewhere that it causes cancer.
In a million years we (computer afficianados) will be the only
ones left…

In the June '95 issue of Computer Graphics World on page 70 there is an article
talking about simulating sunlight with 3DS.
