Hey Y'all, I'm just doing my first animation here, and while there's a lot to like about the KeyFramer, there's something I can't make it do. In my camera path, there are two key points that have, say, 10 frames separating them. What I'd like to do is to change that to, say 15. This means that may animation will be five frames longer (which is cool). But if I just add five frames to it, those five frames get tacked on to the end. I don't want to move Key point 2 five frames along (although I realise that, in effect, this is what I'm going to be doing), because that will make it five frames closer to Key point 3. How can I insert 5 new frames (frame points?) between Key points 1 and 2 without shuffling everything else along manually? You're too kind. Laurie

Laurie, <insert 5 new frames between keys> look at the TIME feature. You can assign an active segment then scale it. The rest of the animation is adjusted accordingly. Works very well.

Laurie You'll have to add the frames to the end and move the key 5 frames or use Scale Segment and move the key 2 or 3 frames, first choice should be easiest. Have fun -Ted Boardman !^NavFont01F0007MGHHG86A40A

Do a Time/Define/Segment and make your active segment the 10 frames in question. Then do a Time/Scale/Segment and specify 15 and then hit those tutorials… <g>

Hi Laurie, >>How can I insert 5 new frames (frame points?) between Key points 1 and 2 without shuffling everything else along manually? The easiest way would be to add the five frames to you scene, which as you know will get tacked on at the end. Then go into Track Info and use Slide to move key 2. This will allow you to move all keys including and after the one you selected as a group. This way you retain yout spacing between all other keys without having to do it one at a time. I hope this helped. By the way, nice picture………..<g> Andrew Sinagra Digital Art & Motion, Inc.
