Does anybody know who is responsible for Chevron's new "talking car" spot? It's great! -Scott

Scott, If it's the claymation-looking one using stop motion photography instead of computer animation I believe it is done by Aardman Animations. They have done some neat stuff that was shown in Animation Film Festivals these last several years. There is an Aardman video out called 'Creature Comforts' (1991) that is pretty fun to watch. The video should be available through this company: Expanded Entertainment PO Box 25547 Los Angeles, CA 90025 They say you can write to them for a free catalog. This address may be outdated but was valid as of 1992 FWIW. Enjoy! Kevin Creative Pixel Concepts

>> I didn't know that you could make a small Penguin look so sinister <g> The amazing thing is that it is done with very subtle movements and expressions. Unlike a person or a dog (Argh… what were their names?), the penguin has very few physical features that can be used to express emotion. – Dave

<<The amazing thing is that it is done with very subtle movements and expressions.>> Or almost no movements at all. The lack of expression gave you the impression that the penguin was very kind and well mannered. It wasn't until he pulled out the gun that your whole impression changed. The other animation where they go to the moon in search of cheese was fantastic. The concepts were so simple yet so well executed. Traditional model animation like "Tim Burton's Christmas Nightmare" are truely amazing works. I think we(computer animators) have it easy compared to those guys!
