Hi there, Can anybody direct us to where we might find information about MetaReyes 2.0? We would like to know how difficult it will be to create human faces and bodies using metaballs 2.0. Anybody with some input or experience, please let us know. Also, we need information about any skin programs that will give us different ethnic features. We need a phone number, address, email, web page, printed info or any other material. thanks in advance, John Grayson jgrayson@u.washington.edu

John, MetaREYES is available through Schreiber Instruments (800.252.1024). As far as difficulty of modeling goes, it's pretty subjective. Take a look at METAP2.JPG, NEWHUG.ZIP, and TREXMB.ZIP here in the forum – they should give you a good idea of what's possible with metaballs. Once you get a feel for metaballs, I think you can model anything with great confidence and ease, but you have to get up to that point <g>. I wish it were easier that that ?<g> I know there are some clip-models out there of various types of humans – People for People and Kinemodelz are two that come to mind. However, I don't know much more than their names – maybe someone else could jump in here? I hope this helps point you in the right direction. -Kyle

John, Look for Tim Wilson ((Crestline) 76432,1122), he's the designer of Humanoid and Kinemodelz. He can always be found in the ANVENA forum and sometimes in the others like GUGRPA and COMANIM. He's got quite the reputation for his organic models and has some you can download from the libs around here. I just got humanoid a few days ago, but it will be awhile before I get to it. Just looking through it though, it looks pretty good. There are four models of, man, woman, child and strong man. Heads with different expressions and a phoneme mouth shapes for lip synch. The IK hierarchies are all built in. Terry
