To All, Can anyone tell what is the best way to make a transaction for a piece of equipment from this forum and be able to assure both parties that they will get their money or their goods. COD is safe for the person sending the equipment, but how do I know I'm not getting a box of bricks? Thank you, Scott

Pay with a check . You can always put a stop on it.

Very simple rule. I would only buy from a forum regular. If a stranger shows up making a fabulous offer too good to be true it probably is. I wouldn't have any problems buying from individuals who are on here on a daily basis. These people won't be selling out their reputation on a public forum for a few $$ for some bricks. Just common sense and human nature are good rules to live by. PS this goes for the seller and the buyer. As a seller I often worry about bounced out of state checks. They're impossible to collect on.

Don, thanks for the advice, I thought there may be some other routine to follow that would be safe for both parties. thanks Scott
