A week it is! BTW I'm still not sure how I'm getting to your party at your offices. Do people hitchhike in LA? Paul

>> BTW I'm still not sure how I'm getting to your party at your offices. Do people hitchhike in LA? << Paul, I will have a rental car, and you are quite welcome to join me, if our schedules coincide. – Dave M.

David, Thanks! I can definately use a ride. I normally pick up a rental car, but my schedule is so full, I figured it would be parked most of the time. Where are you staying? Paul

Hi Paul, I will be staying at the Holiday Inn Downtown (looks like a few blocks from the Convention Center.) My schedule is filling up quite rapidly — courses, meetings, family, friends, (parties!) and so on… I will e-mail you with more specifics. I am attending a procedural modeling and texturing class on Monday, so it looks like I'll be heading to the Open House in the late afternoon. – Dave

I'm going to spend the day in the Renderman Production Course so we'll both be in class most of the day. When did Greg say his open house was going on? Since you'll be in class most of the day also, you may be my best bet for a lift. Are you going to be at the Asoft party Sunday evening? If so we can discuss the details then. Greg is going to have great door prizes isn't he? <BG> Paul

I believe it officially runs from around noon to 5 (but I have a strong suspicion he won't get people to leave until the sunrise Tuesday! <g>) Yes. I will be at the Sunday party. We'll make arrangements there to get together after Monday's classes and make the trip. Door prizes?!? Yes! <g> (Free fishing trip with the bartenders?) – Dave

Where are you staying, Paul? I don't know for _sure_ if we're getting a car, but I'm beginning to suspect we will…. I'm sure you can find a ride at Sunday night's party (which you _will_ be there for, right?) Dave

I'm staying at the L.A. Omni, it used to be the L.A. Hilton but recently changed hands. Its at Figueroa & 7th. I'll definately be at the Asoft party. After talking to Alan, I expect it'll be a very funfilled evening! There are a few other parties going on the same evening, but I'll make it there come hell or high water. It seems like a couple of people may be able to give me a ride to and from the Pyros facility, so as long as someone has a little trunk or hood space, it looks like I'll make it down there to hassle Greg. If you get a car, definately let me know. Thanks, Paul

Greg – I can see all these cars headed down the highway in LA with animators tied to the hood like a deer, and 3DS-ers sprawled across the trunk – all headed your way with the Highway Patrol just shaking their heads knowing better than to stop that car! <G> Anne

Anne, Don't mention the CA Highway patrol and the trip to Greg's. It may jinx me. They've already written me up a couple of times for speeding and I don't even live there. The last time I was out there, I took a Miata from San Francisco to Monterey, and it seemed like they were positioned at every mile marker. 🙁 Paul
