Mario, Thanks for the info. I wonder how many other different names that C= used for the system Workbench disk supplied with the computer? Now you know why it's such a pain to get install scripts that work. There's no consistent base to plan the script around. (C= are you listening?) For the record – to use the Music-X demo install script (execute.me) you must have either a Workbench 1.3 disk or a Workbench 1.2 disk AND they must be named as follows: (without quotes of course) "Workbench 1.2" or "Workbench1.3" That is how the disks are distributed in the US (at least the copies that I have access to 8). The reason that I required (what I thought would be) the original disk in certain spots was to get an unchanged copy of the startup-sequence to edit in the Music-X assigns. Otherwise, you might have some commands in your custom startup-sequence (the one on your S: directory) that would not be in the limited set of commands that are copied onto the Music-X demo disk. <continuation> the gyrations were necessary in the first place. The intent was to make the install as painless as possible, but, as you've seen, there always seems to be a hitch. 8) Glad that you've gotten it working. How do you like the program so far? David
