Just saw your Board Master ad in Transactor. Can't comment about the product but the chopped off tops of the type face….well….they stick out like a sore thumb. I realize you were demonstrating Laserjet PCB output but you really hafta' go to a PS printer for acceptable copy until SL gets those damn fonts fixed. Yuck. — Art

pardon me – <grin> When they fix the fonts, I'll be happy. Till then, I like em… and I bet we lose not ONE sale to the "chopped off tops". We're not trying to sell PCB stuff to DTB dweebs, y'know. Plus, I did that at 1:1, probably not the best policy as it's only 300 dpi. –Ben-

Ben, Re Board Master Are any distributors carrying it yet? Greg

Greg, it's carried by American Software Distributors. They have moved several hundred units for us in the last two months. Not staggering, but it's not too bad, either. Now that there are ads out there, we eexpect that to pick up. –Ben-

You ought to try PixelScript to get rid of the chopped-tops in PageStream. We use it to produce our ads, and the results are pretty decent. Of course, we developed PixelScript, so we're biased! Justin/pixelations

I may well try it, although I'm reasonably satisfied with what I have; I have yet to see the ad in Transactor (are you listening, Nick?) although virtually everyone else has. They neglected to send us a pre-release copy…. really not very nice thing to do to an advertiser! If I remember right, that ad looked pretty good here. I'll have to see what happened to the output before I can really say anything. –Ben-

Ben, Nick is no longer with TRANSACTOR, except marginally, that is. He has moved to Vancouver Island, as has Chris. Tim Grantham is now the editor. Betty

Um – yeah, I talked to Tim several times. Too bad – I really like Nick. –Ben-
