For your SV newsletter. I have been using on Code-Blue the program
"Derive" a mathematical assistant by Soft Warehouse, Inc. of 3615 Harding
Avenue, Suit 505, Honolulu, HI 96816. The only part I cannot use is that
which requires an IBM-type Graphics Board. But I can see the graphics on
the Screen, but cannot print it out. This of course is what I expected. I
have had no real problems with it other than learning both it and Code Blue
a at the same time.

Thanks for the compliment.
And I would be extremely grateful if you would be willing to write a
short review of Derive for the newsletter. The equivalent of a page or two
would be fine. (In fact, I try to keep articles fairly short.)
The Silicon Valley Rainbow can only keep alive as long as the supply of
articles for it does. For the past several months, there have only been
two regular contributors: Mike (Roy) Pasini and myself.
Printed copies of the newsletter are available ONLY to residents of
Northern California (defined rather broadly) and to other DEC newsletter
editors.
If you fall into one of these categories, you may add your name to the
mailing list by writing to Dennis Boodt, 237 McKendry Drive, Menlo Park,
Calif. 94025.
For others, I regularly post the newsletter in "electronic" form in
Library 3. It comes out every other month. Oh, I forgot to say,
subscriptions for those eligible are free.
Articles may be sent to me via CompuServe E-mail or by post. My address
is included in the newsletter.
