Hi, I need some information on where and how I can take a class about the PDP-11 and RSX-11 software. I need to learn more about it for work. Work will pay for the class, did anyone take a real good class somewhere? Maybe through Digital ? I really don't need a class for the computer novice but one more for the advanced user. Anyone's experience on this subject would be great. Thank-You, Steve

Steve, Call your local Digital sales office and ask for a copy of the Educational Services DIGEST, and also the current Training catalog. The DIGEST presents the current schedules and new offerings to back up the catalog. My current copy of the DIGEST isn't handy, but the 12/89 one I have here indicates there are about a dozen RSX-11M-Plus courses (some of them are more generic, but fit under that heading anyway) offered in Boston, Chicago, Dallas, and Washington DC. Not all courses in all locations. Other than this, you should consider the Pre-Symposium Seminars that are given by DECUS. The next bunch will be at the Fall DECUS Symposium in Las Vegas (I don't have the dates handy), and they will be running two days' worth this time as an experiment (usually only one). These are one-day seminars. The Digital courses typically run for 5 days and cost $1000-1500. -Bill
