Anyone know of a utility to convert autocad screens to iff? I have an
autocad file I can get into my Amiga but I need to get it into iff so I can
use it in a paint program. I checked briefly in the autodesk forum but no
soap. Btw I did see somt complimentary comments on the Amiga
If you can get Autocad to any other MS-DOS format (such as PCX, etc) then
you are likely to be able to convert it to GIF and thence to IFF.
Alternately, you could petition ASDG (for 2D) or Syndesis (for 3D) to
release Autocad modules for The Art Department and/or Interchange.
Do you know what format these screens are in? Are they bitmaps, or
AutoShade .RND files?
They are 'autocad' drawn screens or the file created by telling autocad to
print the file. Afraid I don't know more than that. I'll try to find out
more.
Assume you are running AutoCad on the Bridgeboard? (assuming with a VGA
card?) If so (I think) you will need to get a screen capture utility for
the IBM side, that will capture the VGA screen. Then maybe another utility
to covert that image into GIF? Then finally another utility (avail in the
libraries) that will convert GIF into IFF??
This assumes that AutoCad does not have a 'save screen image' command,
directly into GIF?

The autocad is running on various stations including Sun and IBM. I'll
check on that Gif over in the Autodesk forum. Thanks for your help.
