#Anim/image

Dpaint Disaster! I recently saved a 230 frame Dpaint logo anim as an image
file just as I was putting the finishing touches on the final frame. I now
have a disk with the full anim saved on it but with no way to load it into
Dpaint as anything but an image file of the final frame. Is there anyway
to restore this file to an anim? Please say yes! Doug in the Dumps.
Doug: If the anim was saved as an anim you might try on of the pd programs
that split anims back into frames, if DPaint is having trouble doing this.
Good Luck. -BiL
Doug:
A couple of thoughts:
You might try AniMagic, but I suspect that you may have a bad header of
some sort on the file. So, create a ten or twenty frame animation in
DPaint, save it, make a copy, then load the original back into DPaint and
deliberatly save it as an image file. Then use something like Zap to look
at the two files, and see how they differ. It might give you enough
information to go in and alter the header on the file you messed up so that
it is once again an anim file. That assumes that the image file you
accidentally created does in fact still have all the other anim data in it.
You might also use disksalv to see if your old file is still around, but
"invisible".
