I remember seeing some messages a while back about file incompatibility ween the 3000 and 2000 when creating DPaint images on the 3000. Well, I just ran into the same thing and I need some help to figureout a fix. When I load a picture file created on the 3000 with DPaint (running under WB1.3.2 OR 2.0) on the A500, I gete a "Not an ILBM or ANIM file" message. This occurs no matter what program is attempting to load the file. Did someone come up with a fix to this? I'd appreciate any help as we are trying to use the 3000 to create graphics for our 500 thaeds a cable TV channel.

Chris, not that this is much help, but I was told by a software company that there is a newer version of the kickstart which eliminates this problem, but that it isn't being released yet, they're going to wait for a more final version before updating everyone. — Ethan

Chris, I don't have an A3000 (I will wait for a native 68040 machine!!), but if I remember correctly, what will work is to save from DPaint to the hard drive, then use the AmigaDos copy command (or drag the icon in WB) to the floppy. 73, Kelly

Andy Finkle dropped by here a while back to verify that this was a bug, and they were working on it. _IF_ I remember his messages correctly, he said that you should COPY the offending file under AmigaDOS 2.0, and port the COPY to DPIII running under 1.3. Try that out, and see if it fixes the problem. (If I misremembered this, someone else jump in, OK?)
